Microbiological air quality testing

Air quality analysis is regulated by legislative decrees that set limits for various air components, including sulphur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide, and the concentration of substances such as cadmium and nickel in PM10 particulate matter.

Procedure
Bacteriological analysis of the air is carried out using a SAS (Surface Air System) device that draws in a volume of air. This air is directed onto a Petri dish containing a general or selective growth medium, allowing the determination of the bacterial concentration present. This process makes it possible to identify any risks linked to microbial contamination in indoor workplaces and industrial environments, and to monitor potential recontamination of food products processed in the tested area.
