Microbiological analysis on cosmetics
Our analysis laboratory, operational for over twenty years, allows companies to monitor the entire production process of cosmetic and personal care products such as make-up, creams and perfumes: we carry out inspections, challenge tests and chemical-physical and microbiological analyses aimed at determining microorganisms such as fungi, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Candida albicans, Escherichia coli, enterobacteria and aerobic mesophilic bacterial load.
Our laboratory is ISO 17025 accredited and deals with analyses on the quality of cosmetics as finished products, during the production phase, on raw materials and ingredients and also for the measurement of water activity (Aw), to guarantee companies high standards of product safety and hygiene. Challenge test
The challenge test carried out on cosmetic and personal care products is used to analyse their stability at a microbiological level: to guarantee the health of the consumer and offer customers products that are difficult to contaminate, therefore safe, it is essential to verify the defence against microbial aggression.
How does the challenge test work?
The challenge test verifies the stability of cosmetic products by reproducing in the laboratory the possible microbial aggression that the product in question may have suffered in a normal life cycle and use, identifying any problems to be resolved
