Analysis and monitoring of legionella<\/h1>\n

How the analysis is carried out<\/h2>\n

The analysis of Legionella pneumophila on an aqueous matrix is carried out by microfiltration<\/strong>: the sample is filtered after being placed on a filter membrane and the system is started. If present, the microorganism remains attached to the membrane and transferred to a specific culture medium. After a 10-day incubation, the plate is read.<\/p>\n

Typically, our specialized technicians take care of sampling<\/strong>, bringing the material directly to the laboratory, but it is possible to provide the sample using a sterile bottle. The timing and frequency<\/strong> with which to perform the analysis of water intended for human consumption are regulated and recommended by the Region.<\/p>\n
